Prophets and Seers.

See'rs and prophets. I had a friend ask me what I though modern day prophet's and seers look like, and maybe what their role is, and this is my response.

----------

In my personal opinion, I don't think we know of any in this day. I think that seers exist. People are seeing visions and dreaming dreams, even seeing things in supernatural angels/demons/heaven/ etc. I think that most of us are on some level. We are not just beings of flesh, but of mind, body, and SPIRIT. We were created to see things.

First and foremost, prophets are not not self-proclaimed. And they will not accept the title of either seer or prophet. If people are really called, and humbled, they will not allow any esteem to come to themself. Amos - Poor farmer got a revelation in a field. Haggai - was called to stoop so low that he would marry a rotten whore. John the baptist - eatings locusts and I am sure the mangiest smelliest dude from the desert after years there. Paul whipped beaten and smeared.

I think that there are prophets are being groomed. There are very few people in the earth that have such a voice that is "The Word of The Lord". In my opinion, I don't see or hear many stories from Charles Finney's, or Smith Wigglesworths walking around, and the presence of God causing people to weep because they have seen righteousness the holy pure presence of God beyond Grace. Repentance should be the name of our endeavor, and there are very few proclaiming this widespread in our circles today.

In my experience of reading the words of the prophets of old, they SAW the glory of God. They were translated. Transported. They saw beings of heaven. Then, their words came as a call to repentance for the people of Israel. They would then always begin to speak of the Glory and Majest of God after they delivered the Word. Paul says very well in Romans 8 - "God's (goodness/kindness/perfection) leads me to repentance."

I could very well be wrong, as I am not really very well informed about such things. But I tend to think that God is a PERFECT God, and his house are many mansions built for the sons and daughters that recognize the call to adoption, accept it, and move into a place of extreme intimacy and perfection for which we were created (Adam and Eve were created perfect in HIS image). Dying to self. Does this mean that more people than we think may go to heaven or not? Not my call. All I know is that God's House is in order, and we must align ourselves with Heaven.

So to answer your question about prophets, I think they exist, and I don't think they exist in the way that our media advertising exposure world puts them out there. They come out at night. They pray as they walk by us in the day. They won't stop until they've seen the Lord, in any line of work that they pursue. They will speak Jesus' words as they hear them. Much more reason to keep our mouths shut until God breathes through our lungs with His goodness in due time. We will know the voice of the Lord when it sounds.

Matthew 5 and 6 paint a perfect picture of who we are to be, and who possesses the Kingdom of Heaven.

Lord, please let us not approach your throne without confidence in our low humility that honors your Glory and Grandeur!?! Who in heaven but You is highest and worthy of all of creation's praise!?! Father of Lights be magnified for your justice shall reign, and your peace shall flow like rivers of living water through those who have found salvation in Jesus Christ - Our Lord and Savior who has come to take and forget the sins of the world! Oh Christ be the center of our lives and show us the Father's house! Let your Kingdom come in the hearts of men! Let not our hearts be troubled with temptation and evil but deliver us! We want the bread of your Word and not the feeble works of our own demise! Forgive us of our selfish desires as we now begin to see our naked selves, exposed, greedy, dirty and aroused at anything that suits our nasty fancy! Lord let us forgive those around us! Let us love one another and begin to prepare for our wedding! Jesus be magnified as our Saviour who will show us the Kingdom of God!

Um. . . .The Sound. Song of Salvation. . . .

So the deal is, I am hearing the Lord beckon so deeply.

I have NO clue what it means or what it is requesting of me, but I feel like a bug drawn to light. I am trying so hard to follow that voice because it gets stronger and stronger. Before it was saying, “This isn’t a game, this is real, and you don’t really have a choice any more, you gave your life away.”

Now, as I have gained my stance once again, I can see, not so much blind but perhaps more blurry - than ever. Trusting the voice that I keep hearing, I begin again to start running. I scream “What else is there!?!” and continue on this journey. It is a long road, a tunnel, something quite scary. It makes me tremble but does that mean I’m falling? Perhaps it’s the earthquake, the inevitable shaking of this generation – anything but endearing. I sing, “What can wash away my sin? What can make me whole again?” The voice is calling, it’s singing, it is saying “I’m your way!”

Truth is screaming in a way that makes my heart full of fear. I have issues with the way things were, but that’s the problem. I still have qualms. There is nothing just in judging the past, placing my bearings on the basis of a previous dash. I say, “I can’t go on!” trying to make sense of a crooked zig-zag.

So where am I on this journey? Have I gone so far I can’t see where I’ve come from? I am learning it’s not about what has passed but where I am going. Heaven itself is welcoming. Perfect justice awaits me as I begin to sing the song of Awakening. Wisdom’s anthem is causing eruptions to the break the new molds that are made out of past wineskins. They have accomplished their tasks but pushed to the brink of extinction – seemingly disturbing – THE OLD WINESKIN has left its residue, abandoned for a seemingly sweeter branch. What if there is still savory wine in the old skin, yet to be dranken? The ways of the anchors have been forsaken – the rocks on which the father’s have built their house have been crushed into sand, where the youth bury their bodies up to their heads in fun.

What hope is there? There is hope for the new Dawn – The Bridegroom will come, and prove the horizon which we chase. He’ll come. He’ll come sooner if we pursue. There is no time to wait and make haste as there is work to be done, there is a Gospel to share – It’s LOVE. Let us seek the Father that heaven might come down and reign in justice, perfection and divine purpose.
